Looking forward to a collaborative partnership between VRO and ONGC

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has been at the forefront of energy production in India, and its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is equally commendable. On 13th August 2024, the three men team, comprising Mr. P. Rajasekhar Joshi, General Manager, Mr. B. Victor Babu, GM and Mr. B. Simhachalam, Senior Engineer, from ONGC, Kakinada visited the Jaggampeta site of VRO to check the facilities and training programs offered at the site so that VRO and ONGC can work together towards the development and empowerment of the local community, particularly those belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

The visit was part of a broader project aimed at enhancing the skill set of the rural youth, both men and women, and providing them with the necessary training and supporting the economically poor children in their education.

The VRO site at Jaggampeta is a hub for various training programs designed to uplift the socio-economic status of the local community. These programs include car driving, tailoring training, computers. The ONGC delegates’ visit underscores the company’s dedication to not only harnessing natural resources responsibly but also reaching out to the communities that surround their operations. By focusing on facility enhancement and quality training, ONGC is paving the way for a future generation that not only thrives economically but also contributes positively to the social fabric of India.

VRO thanks the ONGC for their kind gesture to tie up with VRO for the uplift of the economically and socially backward youth, women and children.
